you can really learn a lot about the culture of the Szechuan region and feel the beautiful music from the heart. szechuan actually has a meaning to me now apart from the americanized chinese szechuan chicken dish!!

Szechuan opera stage is so eye-catching. It is always sad to see traditional arts get obsolete as we modernize. Maoism is still a little shocking though I learned it when I was in school. But I like this film because of its lovely happy ending. Mr. Lee finally appeared on the stage of Ms. Wang's trope. Such a charming and unique and good quality film.

This film depicts not only the fate of Szechuan opera troupe people but also Chinese long history. It succeeds in expressing Máo Zédōng Sīxiǎng -Maoism- so vividly. Very good quality film.

There was a big earthquake in Szechuan yesterday.
I watched this film, and had a rethink on the disaster, and Tibet problem.
I wish World Peace.

This is quite an impressive film. I majored in Chinese history and culture when I was a university student, so this one is very special for me. It succeeds in depicting Szechuan opera and Maoism and the Chinese people who lived in that era. It's an eye-opener. We could learn so much. One of the best!
