ABOUT THE FILM

Baano is raped by her father-in-law, Tahir. A village council is held, and as a result Baano is punished, for a strong sex discrimination exists in their religious views. This is a movie based on a true story, giving a question of ethics and morality to the viewer.

During 2001 and 2002, Rajeev Ahuja studied filmmaking from Cine Studio Bologna, Italy.
Worked as an actor in a short film "cicle the otobre", 2003
Worked as 1st AD in a feature film, "We Are No Monks" in India, 2003
Worked as Writer, Director and Producer in a short film, "Broad Day", 2005.
Worked as Writer, Director and Producer in a short film "BAANO", 2007
Woking on upcoming film "The Best Of Jack"

I was shocked to know that this film is based on a true story.Quite an eye-opener to me.More movies like this should be made to promote social awareness.Great Effort

I would say this is the Best film I have ever seen. I especially liked the character of the village Sarpanch.Keep it up !!!
