ABOUT THE FILM

In this short film from Singapore, a girl from another country is working as a waitress while looking for a better life. At first glance, her life seems hard. At the same time, however, she finds moments of happiness in accidental encounters. The technique is experimental, but the film is full of warm emotion.

Your film may not be exciting, but it is quite telling. I think your film becomes eloquent by avoiding something special. You filmed an uneventful day of one very ordinary lady, in an un-dramatic way. By doing this, you let me rediscover the power, enrichness, and significance of one usual day of our life. Thanks!

Very lovely and charming film. I liked Singapore houses and streets. Their colors are so beautiful. The music is also great. Especially the girl's cell phone ring tone is nice. It might be not so easy to live and work in foreign countries, but the life of this girl in a red sarong is not sad. This film succeeds in depicting the girl's life vividly and quite fairly.
