11-year old Sherry has a dream to possess her own horse. During the summer vacation, she has been left in the care of neighbors and becomes engrossed in a book on horses in the back garden. Little does she realize that her dream is shortly about to reach its cruel climax. A sensitive portrayal of the last days of a girl’s youth.



A Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) graduate of the Drama School of Film & Television, Kerreen has worked extensively as an actor, director and teacher in performing arts education, theatre, film and television.
"In Her Own Words", a documentary on women with disabilities and their experience of disability discrimination, for which she received the Australian Teachers of Media (Atom) Award for Best Educational Resource Production. This film was also in the Australian Film Institute's (AFI) Top 10 Rentals in 1997 "Give & Take", short drama, VCA producer, 1997 which won the CINEVEX Graduate Script prize. "Loup", a short dance film which has had screenings at the 1998 Melbourne Fringe Film Festival, and Dance On Camera festival, NYC. "Embrace", a short dance film, with screenings at Dance on Screen, IMZ festival, Monaco, 2000. In 2001 Kerreen received a travel grant from the Victorian Government to attend her screening and give a live presentation at the Dance on Camera Festival in New York with Embrace. This film also played at the St. Kilda film Festival 2001, Canberra Film festival 2001, and screened for Arte (Franco-German cultural network television) 2001. Kerreen completed a director's attachment (Film Victoria professional development grant) on the children's television series "Horace and Tina", Jonathan M. Shiff productions. She directed scenes from episode 1 "Arrivals" and episode 2 "Setting In", screened Channel 10, 2001 & 2002. She also directed "Behind the Scenes" of "Horace & Tina" - a 5 min promotional video of the series. She is a recipient of the Amsden professional development travel grant, Victorian Arts Centre, to the USA, 2006. And is currently in development on the documentary Even Girls, and the feature film "Love Motel", with the "Parts of a Horse" team, supported by Film Victoria.

I thought the story was hackneyed. Nice cinematography but no real conflict. The girl was an absolute looney. Eqqus this is not.
