A little boy dreams of discovering life on Mars. Knowing the boy's sincere endeavors, his elderly neighbor takes a hand in the realization of his wish. A heartwarming wish-fulfillment fable imbued with a sense of childhood innocence and wonder plays out through the hybrid of live-action and traditional animation. The elderly neighbor is played by the seasoned actor David Clendenning and Director Austin Andrews--directed the piece at the age of 20--was dubbed "the next Spielberg" by the Calgary Straight.

Good use of animation, at the right place, right length, and the proper amount of attention-drawing. And a great work of the art director. The stars in the sky and the planet mobile in the boy's bedroom were specially excellent. But as for the story itself, I needed a bit more twist in order not to feel I've seen the same sort of film before.

少年の思いが伝わるシンプルなお話。 ふるい映画のオープニングを思わせる丁寧な作りに星3つ。 プラスの星1つは「タイトル」（主役は隣人!?）と、エンディングの「Dog BANJO」（犬も役者）で笑ったから。

Heartwarming! The man next door is more cute than the boy! The wanna-be-astronaut-boy's room and cloths are so cute. I liked the artwork.
