ABOUT THE FILM

As a fifteen-year-old Cantonese descent, Quan tries hard to fit into his adoptive home in Wales. On a dark winter morning on the school bus, his sister's nagging disrupts his routine and he is thrown into the situation he fears the most. The film is a three-time BAFTA winner Daniel Mulloy's second work and exhibits the creator's extraordinary talent through the depiction of human relations between people in the closed countryside in the setting of a school bus that runs through dreamlike mountains.

Very interesting and very well done. Daniel Mulloy has employed an incredibly intense style and it is clear that a lot of time has gone into this. The only slight problem with the film I think is the editing around the kick as it is slightly confusing but I think Mulloy has pulled it off. Well done and I definately hope to see more from this director soon.

An extraordinary intense drama which has captured a very interesting aspect of teenage life. "Sister" easily draws you to watch it without an easy explaination; by putting together this brilliant 13 minutes it doesn't need a detailed analysis of why it is outstanding. Well Done!
