What if Japan had won World War II? In present day “Amerika”, there is the Hinomaru Restaurant (“Restaurant of the Japanese Rising Sun”) where boot camp training to instill Japanese cultural elements such as “konjo” (grit) and “kinben” (diligence) is being conducted. Out of a yearning for his mother country, Taro has been working at Hinomaru Restaurant, however... Through Western eyes, this black humor piece presents a comical picture of typical Japanese behavior.

Kukai Morita has been directing independent films since he was a student. In recent years, he has worked as a director for television production companies such as Space Shower Network Inc. (1991), and SEP, Inc. (1994). He is currently working as an independent director for theater, promotional videos, dramas and television programs.
